Biography
Dr. Yue Wang is a software engineer and research scientist at AcuSys, Inc. She was a research assistant (2011-2015) in the Data Privacy Lab at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests include data mining and privacy, fraud detection in social networks, and bioinformatics. Her recent research work has been mainly focused on developing privacy preserving techniques for mining tabular data, social network data, healthcare data, and GWAS data.
Dr. Wang served as a review editor in the Editorial Board for Frontiers in Big Data, Social Network Analysis and Mining, Journal of Intelligent Information Systems, International Journal of Data Science and Analytics. She has also served in program committees of top international conferences, including AAAI, ACM KDD, IJCAI, CIKM, IEEE ICDM, PAKDD.
Dr. Wang has published over twelve scholarly papers in top journals and conference proceedings including Trasactions on Data Privacy, Social Network Analysis and Mining, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, AAAI, IJCAI, PAKDD and so on. She and her colleagues have received several awards including WISE’12 Challenge Runner-up Award, PAKDD’13 Best Application Paper Award, and BIBM13 Best Paper Award.
Dr. Wang got her Ph.D. in Information Technology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in May 2015. She received her BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2011.
